IT Futures has been at the forefront of helping businesses understand the latest technology.

The West Midlands Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Centre is hosted within the IT Futures Centre at the city campus of the University of Wolverhampton. The regional centre provides awareness, training and expertise to businesses that want to implement and/or develop RFID and related technology solutions.

The centre is also used for Research & Development activities to exploit existing or emergent RFID or associated technologies. Businesses are invited to see benefits of the latest technology for themselves.

IT Futures is also participating in the Innovation Vouchers scheme which allows small and medium sized businesses to purchase academic expertise and knowledge to develop their innovation and enhance their business. Businesses are invited to apply for a voucher to purchase academic support from one of the 13 Higher Education Institutions in the West Midlands. The aim of the scheme is to build links between Univerisities and SMEs.
